We’re hiring an entry- to mid-level Structural Engineer to support our growing workload across Arkansas and surrounding states. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, collaborating with contractors, and applying engineering principles to active construction sites. You’ll gain experience in both design and field engineering, with mentorship from experienced professionals in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of bridges, falsework, retaining walls, foundations, and other structures
• Prepare demolition and erection plans for construction
• Perform load ratings for bridges for construction loadings
• Visit job sites and coordinate with contractors
• Support survey and layout crews by developing 3D models for machine control, theoretical deck grades, and miscellaneous CAD work.
• Generate construction drawings, calculations, and submittals
• Respond to field conditions and RFIs with clear, practical solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• EIT certification (PE track preferred)
• Strong foundation in statics, mechanics, and reinforced concrete/steel design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and structural analysis software
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel (typically day trips) and spend time on construction sites

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to bridge construction or inspection
• Familiarity with AASHTO and FHWA codes
• Bridge or other structural design experience
• Interest in hands-on construction engineering
